Keep Those Coils Lasting Longer Vapers!

If you're new to the world of vaping, or still in the early stages of it, then the hobby in general can take some time to adjust to. With a good amount of unique working parts that all require regular maintenance of some sort, on occasion it can be hard to troubleshoot a problem which interferes with your overall vaping experience. It may be difficult early on to understand if the problem lies within your tank, battery, or even your coil.

It may be helpful to know, that 9 out of the 10 times you're dissatisfied with your vaping experience, your coil is at fault. A cheaply made coil which isn't long lasting can cause all types of problems, from a burnt and remarkably unpleasant taste to a weak throat hit. Similarly, it's possible that your understanding of coils is limited, and you're killing the coil long before its lifespan should be up.

The good news, however, is that there are 3 simple ways to ensure your coils lasts longer so that you can go on vaping without any issues.

Longer Lasting Coil Tip #1: Prime Your Coil Properly
Some inexperienced vapers make this mistake frequently. When they purchase a new coil, they simply throw the old one out, screw the new one in, and resume vaping. Almost without fail, within a few pulls they start to see a deeply unpleasant taste reminiscent of burning wool. It might even cause an uncomfortable burning sensation in their throat. This problem boils down to one simple error: they didn't properly prime their new coil. To prime a coil, one must saturate it by applying a few drops of e-liquid to the exposed cotton parts of the coil. While the liquid soaks in, they must take several pulls, without powering their device. This prevents the coil from burning out, allowing it to last significantly longer.

Longer Lasting Coil Tip #2: Battery Voltage Is Set Too High When You Switch Out Coils
When switching out your old coil for a new one, it is critical that you lower the battery voltage considerably and work your way back up. If your battery voltage is too high, it will shock the coil, causing it then burn it out almost immediately. Instead, go down to a lower number (about half of what you usually vape at) and slowly work your way back up to your preferred voltage.

Longer Lasting Coil Tip #3: Know Your PG & VG Levels
All e-liquids are made up of a base of PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerin) (though some e-liquids are now 100% VG). However, when purchasing your e-juice from Vapecentric, you can be selective about the ratios of these two ingredients. For many vaping devices, especially those which require smaller coils, too much VG can gunk up coils quickly due to its thickness. This can make the coil die quickly. Therefore, it's a wise idea to educate yourself on which ratio is best for your device, be it an e-cigarette or MOD.

As you can see, a long-lasting coil is key to a pleasurable vaping experience, and will save you money in the long run, as you can buy them less frequently. And with these 3 tips we shared with you today, hopefully, you can now have a better understanding of how to take care of them properly.
