How is a Sub-Ohm Battery Sub-Ohm Vaping Compatible?

When using a sub-ohm tank such as the Aspire Cleito, Innokin iSub, or the Kanger Subtank Mini, it is important to know that using the right type of battery will make all of the difference while vaping. With that said, you should also know that you can't use just any 'ole battery.

The reason why is because, since a battery stores energy, there are different ways that a battery can discharge its energy. Normal household batteries do not use coils, which is the major difference because coils are designed to quickly discharge themselves. If you end up using a non-coil battery, you will likely have a damaged battery afterward.

To help you get familiar with the right compatible battery for sub-ohm vaping, we have listed a few details to look out for as well as some suggestions for some of the better well-known batteries that are compatible for sub-ohm vaping.

Obvious Signs of Incompatibility

It is a bad sign if your battery becomes extremely hot. If it does and then begins to expand, you can expect it to begin leaking gases. If your battery goes that far, then you should dispose of it properly.

The popular story that was passed around concerning an exploding e-cigarette is a great example of what will happen if the wrong type of battery is used. The reason for it exploding was because even though the battery vented, the mod was unable to vent the gas.

So if you intend to carry extra batteries, then the safest thing you can do is carry them in a separate case. This will help protect them in case they are stored with other types of metals. If you don't then you run the risk of shorting them out.

What You Need To Avoid

There is no need to go cheap for batteries because the batteries are most likely going to do what they say they will do.

Identify the fake stuff and avoid it like the plague. If you come across fake stuff, then chances are it will be cheap as well. You're safe if you buy from battery sellers who have been recommended by trusted sources.

If the vaping device is not up to par and its venting is inadequate, you are better off with another type. If your atomizer is touching your battery directly, be prepared for problems to occur. Make sure that your batteries are vented on the positive side so that gases can escape properly.

It can seem very difficult to find the best battery for sub-ohm vaping, that's why if you aren't able to find one that is compatible, then you can expect disastrous things to happen. But you no longer have to worry if you use the batteries that we have listed below.
