Don't Be A Vaping Litterbug

Don't Be A Vaping Litterbug

Every year, more and more people are discovering the unparalleled satisfaction of vaping. This new technology has provided countless people with a new hobby. However, with this new hobby comes responsibility. In this case, it's important not to be a vaping litterbug.

Recycle Your Old Batteries

For many vapers, when a battery is finally dead, it goes in the trash. However, vape batteries contain pollutants and toxic chemicals that are not friendly to the environment and therefore do not belong in landfills.

Instead of tossing old batteries into the garbage, find a recycling center nearby. Also, many hardware stores will take your old batteries and dispose of them responsibly.

Reuse or Recycle Your E-Liquid Bottles

Any person who has been vaping for a while has gone through many bottles of e-liquid. Whether they are plastic or glass, these bottles can be reused for those who like to make DIY e-liquid. If you don't make DIY e-liquid, find out if anyone you know does and give them your leftover bottles. It's important to note that if you are going to save your bottles to be reused, rinse them thoroughly so that they no longer smell like the e-liquid that the bottles once contained.

If you must dispose of your old bottles, remember to recycle them just like you do all your other glass and plastic. Rinse the bottles out and place them in a recycling bin. While these bottles are small, they do add up over time if you are a frequent vaper.

Recycle Your Coils

Just like old bottles, dead coils should be recycled. These coils are made of metal and therefore do not belong in the garbage.

Clean Up Any Spills

It's inevitable that we all spill some e-liquid from time to time. This can happen when we prime our coils or when we fill our tanks with too much e-liquid and it overflows. If you spill some e-liquid, make sure that you clean it up. Not only can this liquid stain fabrics but it could be dangerous as well.

E-liquid is toxic to small children and animals when ingested. In fact, just one teaspoon can be a lethal dose for a small child or a pet. Therefore, you must always be careful about cleaning up any spills.

Dispose of Packaging Materials

When you leave the vape shop with your new bottle of e-liquid or your new coil, you're probably in a hurry to make use of your new purchase. Remember that even the plastic seal around your new e-liquid bottle or the bit of foil that covers your new coil is recyclable and must be disposed of properly.

By being a responsible vaper, you can protect the environment as well as young children and animals. Remember to always recycle and clean up after yourself.
